Dear First Grader and Parent(s),
I hope you had an amazing summer and made many unforgettable memories. This summer I was able to read many books, go to the beach, and took a trip to Lake Norman, North Carolina. I am so excited to have you in my class and have a fantastic first grade year!
My role as a teacher is to provide my students with a positive learning experience with the appropriate tools for them to build their knowledge. To accomplish this goal, my classroom will not only be a place where students feel safe, care, and trust, but where students are excited to explore, feel free to express themselves, are treated equally, and can succeed to their highest potential.
Now that August is almost over, it is time to think about school again. I can’t wait to meet you and I’m very excited to have a wonderful year together! It is so exciting to be a first grader! We will learn so many new things, make new friends, and HAVE FUN!
Enjoy the rest of your summer and I can’t wait to meet you on September 9th!
These are a few of my favorite things
